BMBA U12-U16 Domestic Coaches Sessions

July 15, 2022

BMBA U12-U16 domestic coaches are invited to a get-together on 20/7 & 3/8 from 7.30-9 pm at St Bernard’s Primary School.
The sessions will focus on quality training drills, skill development, and answering your Coaching questions.

As part of our BMBA player education program moving forward, which is aimed at improving the standard of all BMBA basketball competitions played, the BMBA have decided with the full support of all BMBA Club’s, to introduce a Coaches education session as a start to hopefully get together all
U12 – U16 Coaches, where hopefully we can touch on such things as quality training drills, skill development, offenses and defensive options, etc and with a platform for demonstrations as well.

The aim is to give our U12 – U16 Domestic Coaches a platform to ask questions, whilst also having an opportunity to talk with more experienced Coaches on how they can go about improving their basketball knowledge and subsequent training sessions. Further, we hope this will lead to a more regular support mechanism that will allow the BMBA to provide a resource/platform to help you develop as a Coach, whilst hopefully growing your basketball knowledge by being exposed to better training methods. These sessions, commence as an initial (2) week Wednesday night trial program, designed to gauge what real interest there is for such an ongoing program. We want to firstly introduce each of you to each other, then hopefully provide some answers to some of your Coaching questions, while also providing some further education with demonstrated training activities, that you will be able to take back and use with your specific teams.

The (2) Session dates are as follows:

Wednesday – 20th Jul 22
7.30pm – 9.00pm St Bernard’s Primary School

Wednesday – 3rd Aug 22
7.30pm – 9.00pm St Bernard’s Primary School

We therefore look forward to welcoming as many Coaches as possible to these sessions and then working with each of you to create a better and more available basketball learning hub, to support you with your endeavors to become a better Coach, now and for the future of the BMBA. If you are attending, please email: admin@bmbasketball.org.au to book your place and allow for us to cater accordingly. Regards,

BMBA Committee
